Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp Program is chock full of fun. Campers are kept busy all day long with a schedule full of activities for everyone. Groups are divided by grade levels. Camp Counselors make plans for daily excitement and entertainment. Tuition rates cover a 10 hour day.

The curriculum is guided by the Pennsylvania Learning Standards. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities are incorporated throughout the day. Campers enjoy playing at centers in the classroom such as building, blocks, reading, art, computer, science, board games, puzzles, card games, dramatic play, and more. There is a daily art and craft activity. Campers come up with ideas for themes which set the tone for arts and crafts for the week.

Each day offers a different enterprise to experience. Whether going to the neighborhood pool, taking a trip to an amusement park, or staying put and enjoying a special program, our campers experience a full day of fun. They usually go home exhausted from all the action. We go to Pennbryn Pool on Wednesdays and Fridays. Campers must have a valid membership in order to go to the pool. Tuesdays are usually “Trip Days”. Permission slips are completed before the start of camp. Parents are welcome to join in the fun on these days. We get discounted rates so it makes it affordable for the whole family to go. Only campers and parents may ride on the bus for transportation. Thursdays are “Special Days” which are set up by the counselors to provide an enjoyable day of field activities and thinking games. We provide different programs such as cooking class, art class, mad science, and sports.

Campers go outside 2-3 times a day to play on the climbers, play organized sports such as kick ball, tennis baseball, soccer, Frisbee, basketball, 4 square, and more. There is plenty of shade for those who want to relax and read, play cards, or just socialize with friends.

Parents provide lunch and we provide a morning and afternoon snack. There is a “hot lunch” offered on Thursdays for those interested. Parents also provide pool pass if desired, bathing suit, towel, and spending money for pool days and trips. Younger campers are encouraged to keep a complete changes of clothes in their lockers or backpacks. A backpack, camp shirt, and money holder are included in the camp fee. These items may be needed daily so keep them handy.

This is the most fun a child can handle, a summer spent at Ardsley!
