Our Programs

We welcome you and your baby to this brightly decorated room for our infants where the teacher and assistants provide loving, individual care in a safe, comfortable, and nurturing atmosphere. Our goal is to give you peace of mind as we care for your baby in a warm and engaging, homelike environment. The room is divided into two sections to allow for age appropriate play. Teachers often play on the floor with the children as they encourage and observe children explore their environment.
We offer many physical, social, and sensory activities throughout the day. Daily activities include feeding and sleeping schedules, infant stimulation, tactile experiences, art activities, floor time, etc. The staff interacts with the children by reading books to them, playing games such as peek-a-boo, singing and dancing, building block towers and knocking them down. We introduce American Sign Language which continues throughout their experience at the Center. This helps build their communication skills as their verbal language develops. We go outside twice a day (weather permitting). Infants ride in 4 seater buggies until they are able to walk safely. They go for walks around the block and join in fun, safe activities on the macadam and fields. Balls and bikes are provided for those who are ambulatory and for those who are still learning the get around, blankets are set out in the grass with toys.
We provide 2 snacks a day once solid foods have been introduced into your child’s diet. Parents provide formula or breast milk prepared in bottles for those under 12 months. We encourage mothers who breast feed to come in and feed your baby if feasible. By 4-6 months, parents bring in food for lunch starting with pureed foods then finger foods. We introduce drinking from cups at 6 months which most infants master by the time they are 12 months old. Teachers work closely with parents and pediatricians while making the transition to solid foods.
Our teachers will establish daily communication with parents and integrate your requests into your child’s routine. Detailed daily reports are sent home to let you know what your child’s day was like. Included are times of diaper changes, bottles and ounces consumed, food eaten at lunch, snacks provided, special activities for the day, items needed, and your child’s disposition throughout the day. Parents provide information on these reports regarding how their child slept, when they ate/fed last, when they were changed last, and anything else the teachers may need to know so we can set up your child’s schedule for the day. Teachers send out an email to the class going over the activities and events of the day including pictures of the children in action.
Parents provide complete changes of clothes, bibs, ointments, bed linen, and sleeper sacks/receiving blankets. Linens are sent home weekly for washing. We provide diapers and wipes.

This very spacious room is perfect for the adventurous toddler. A large portion of the room is designed to provide an environment suitable for their active, inquisitive nature. These avid, independent explorers are provided with physical and mental stimuli to help your child develop while ensuring that their exploration occurs in safe and healthy surroundings.
There are two groups formed in the room, each with a teacher and assistant(s). Each group acts independently of the other to allow for optimal, individual care with time set aside for larger group experiences. Your child will participate in well-supervised, small group activities that encourage their natural curiosity and insatiable interest for trying new things. We use the “Creative Curriculum” which is based on the philosophy of play-based learning. All activities are connected to Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards. Your toddler will learn colors, shapes, counting, letters and their sounds, days of the week, the weather and more. American Sign Language is a big part of the curriculum, helping the toddler express their wants and feelings while learning expressive language. Their day is planned with many fun and exciting activities that stimulate their curiosity and encourage their independence. Activity abounds throughout the day with circle time, story time, singing, dancing, building, puzzles, riding bikes, taking walks, running, eating, and even napping!
Toilet training is introduced with the support of the family. Diapers and wipes are included. Parents provide lunch, including a sippy cup and we provide an afternoon snack. Parents also provide linens for napping, bibs, and complete changes of clothes. Linens are sent home weekly for washing.
