December Calendar of Events

December events are listed on our Events page. Click here, to view a detailed list of events. Holiday Shopping Envelopes are due on December 1st. Salvation Army Toys/Angel Tags are due on December 5th. Volunteers are needed to help in the Holiday Gift Shop on December 11th, 12th and 13th. If you can help, see your child's teacher or any staffer at DCCI. Our annual Brunch with Santa will be held on December 21st. The center will close at 2:30 p.m. on December 22nd and December 29th. The center will also be closed on December 25th and January 1st for Christmas and New Year's Day.

November Happenings

Our November calendar of events is available on our Events page. The PB & GB classes will be having a bake sale on Election Day, November 7th. We collect the Holmesburg Bakery fundraising orders on November 10th. The kids will enjoy story time with our friends at the Roslyn Library on November 17th. The center will be closed on November 23rd and 24th for Thanksgiving. When we get back from Thanksgiving break, we will start Parent Conference week on November 27th.

Fire Prevention Week, Halloween Party/Parade and More!

As we start October, we will usher in the week of October 9th with our Fire Prevention week and visit from our local Fire Company. We also take the kids to Shadybrook Farms for pumpkin picking and a farm visit. We will have our annual Halloween Party and Parade, parents are welcome to join in the fun, on the 26th. Fall Happenings at the Center

As summer comes to a close, we are preparing for a new school year. The center will be closed on Monday, September 4th in observance of Labor Day. Our Preschoolers and Cooper Beech Students start a new school year on Tuesday, September 5th. Our Parents Night will be held on September 27th at 7pm. June Happenings at the Center

June is off to a great start. Our Pooh Bears and Koala Bears graduated on June 2nd. Our Summer Camp program officially starts on June 19th, which is also the last day for Abington Schools. Our Summer Camp Opening Ceremonies are on June 22nd. Summer campers get to look forward to a trip to Clementon Park and Splash World as well as Escape the Room Game Day later in the month. Welcome

Welcome to all our new families and welcome back to all those who had the summer off.  The new school year has started and the children have transitioned nicely into their new rooms.  The teachers are spending a lot of quality time getting to know your children.  Parent Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 28th at 7pm.  Come meet the teachers and hear about all the exciting events scheduled for the year.

May Flowers

Here's to hoping that all of those April Showers brought May Flowers!

We are encouraging all families to participate in Screen Free Week during the first week of May. This means no TV, no computer, no video games, etc. For more information, you can visit: http://www.commercialfree childhood.org/tip-1rearrange-furniture 

Some notable things as we are in the final month before the PB/KB GRADUATE on June 3rd. Tuesday, May 3rd is Staff Appreciation Day/National Teacher Day. Teaching & Teachers matter. Don't forget to show your appreciation! Also, the TB, HB and KB go to the Zoo on May 11th from 9-2:30. The CB and SA will be having a Bake Sale on May 17th. The center will be closed on Monday, May 30th in observance of Memorial Day. You can check out our full calendar on our Events page.

April Happenings at the Center

We have a lot of happenings around the Center for April - we are collecting donations for our military; we have one book, every child activity; look for the Week of the Young Child; Riviera's Pizza Fundraiser and so much more. Check out our activities and download our calendar at our Events page.
