Winter Weather Closure

Due to the amount of expected snow fall we will be closed on Thursday, December 17, 2020.  The Santa Brunch will be postponed until Tuesday, December 22, 2020.  If you paid for the brunch and aren’t expected in on Tuesday we will credit your account less the $5.00 for the gift.  Santa’s gift will be sent home with your child on their next scheduled day.
If possible, please take tomorrow to enjoy your children, go sledding, throw snowballs, make a snowperson, prep for the holidays, and cuddle with your kids!
Just a reminder about social distancing…if you enjoy time with people who do not live in your home and especially if they do not live in the same state as you, quarantining is expected after your time together.
Be safe, be smart, wear a mask, stay apart, and stay healthy.

December Happenings

Thanksgiving Holidays - We will be closed on Thursday, November 28th & 29th for Thanksgiving!

Parent/Teacher Conferences – Conferences for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers will be held during the week of December 2nd.  Please look for the sign-up sheet in each classroom.  A Family Conference Report will be sent home prior to your conference.  A Parent Conference Worksheet will also be attached.  Please complete this and bring both with you to your conference.

Holiday Shop* - Every year we open a Holiday Shop where the children (Gummi Bears to School-Age) can shop for presents for their loved ones.  Our Annual Holiday Shop will be open on December 10, 11, & 12.  Each class will be assigned a specific day to visit the shop.  An envelope has been sent home with information regarding this shopping experience.  Included is a shopping list to be completed if you want your child to participate.  These are due back before your child’s scheduled day.  If your child doesn’t normally attend on their assigned day, we will bring them to shop on a different day.  School agers get the chance to shop after school.  How does this work, you might ask?  We transform a classroom into a store where groups of children walk around with their “personal shopper” looking for presents to buy for the people on their shopping list.  We are in need of many volunteers between the hours of 9-11 on those days.  Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. sign up to volunteer their time and skills to help children shop and wrap their presents.  Items cost anywhere from $1.00 to $5.00.  More information will follow.   *This is an activity in which some families/children choose not to participate.

Fundraising Information:

Yankee Candle Orders have been delivered.  If you want to purchase more, you still can order online at using our Group # 990043445 until January 8, 2020.

Holmesburg Bakery Pies and Donuts will be delivered on Wednesday, November 27th.  They will be in the classroom to the left as you enter the building.  (Set up by classroom name)  Reminders will be sent out.

November by Margaret Morgan

Now it is November,

Trees are nearly bare:

Red and gold and brown leaves

Scatter everywhere.

Dark now, are the mornings

Cold and frosty too;

Damp and misty evenings

Chill us through and through.

Busy are all creatures,

Winter food to hide;

Nests to make all cozy

Warm and safe inside.
